I've said it before and I'll say it again, Cat Cogliandro is one of my favorite people to be around. She's kind, uplifting, inspiring, and a no-nonsense kind of gal. You never have to guess with this one, her unapologetic honesty is truly refreshing in a city full of facades. She's heavily involved with Y.P.A.D, an organization dedicated to ending the over-sexualization and exploitation of children in the dance world and is greatly interested in child psychology. She's also the artistic director and choreographer of an amazingly talented group of dancers known as The Catastrophe. She also recently started an educational workshop tour, the latest known as "Summer Sherbert" - register here! If you're unfamiliar with her work, check it out here. Her choreography is an accurate reflection of her personality- sincere, emotionally deep, and perfectly quirky (#werkyourquirk). We started this session with the rising of the sun in the Los Angeles arts district and we had a blast (as always!). Check out the first installment and let us know what you think in the comments below!
