Audrey, Class of 2020

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is having the opportunity to meet new people. Audrey and her family are such wonderful people and I had such an amazing time working with them! We met for coffee to plan out Audrey's session and decided that we would opt for an early start time to take advantage of Seattle's beautiful morning light.

We met about an hour before sunrise to do Audrey's hair and makeup. She wanted a natural, glowing look so a great skin prep was essential. I used Lait Creme Concentrate from Embryolisse (as always!) for a perfectly moisturized canvas. Audrey has stunning blue eyes so I really wanted to make them pop with the right lashes. Instead of strip lashes, we used lots of individual lashes for a wispier, natural look. She wanted sleek, straight hair so we flat ironed it and finished it with Kerastase Elixir Oil to tame flyaways. When we were done styling, we made our way over to the location.

The Arboretum is such a beautiful park and is buzzing with life in the early hours of the day. Some trails are more popular than others so we made our way to a beautiful area with less foot traffic. The weather was cloudy but nice and bright so we had really nice soft light to work with. Audrey was willing to go the extra mile to get a creative shot by climbing trees, getting her feet wet, running in the mud, and dancing in strange places. She handled the whole session like a professional with a strong determination and unrelenting sense of humor, we had such an epic session!

I was so happy with how Audrey’s session turned out so I was thrilled when she ordered an heirloom album with all of her photos! She opted for a luxe leather cover in Vintage Sandalwood, a distressed leather that could compliment any room it’s in. It turned out so beautifully and I’m so glad she has it to share with future generations.
